Since 2007 as part of the Laureate Week of the Global Energy International Prize a practical, scientific symposium is held annually in St. Petersburg called Energy of Thought.
The exclusiveness and prestige of the symposium is due to its participants – Global Energy International Prize Laureate for that year – leading, world famous scientists. They deliver their laureate lectures in which they talk about their work in detail, which has been worthy of international acclaim and the prestigious title of the Prize Laureate. The lectures of young scientists – winners of the All-Russian Youth Competition of Research Projects in the field of energy "Energy of Youth" also attract widespread interest. After all, they’re reporting to scientific society at large on what they have done during the last two years with grants provided by the Global Energy Foundation!
