The Global Energy International Prize Non-Profit Foundation is an authorized body for the Award and is established by the founders to provide for the organizational and financial support of activities for the preparation and holding of the Annual Global Energy International Prize and its informational support.
The directorate and the personnel of the Foundation are elected by the Founders of the Prize. The operation of the Foundation is supervised by the Executive Director approved by the Board of Trustees.
In compliance with the “Statute of Prize” the Global Energy Foundation is entitled to perform the following functions:
- to carry out organizational and technical activities involved in the conduct of the Prize competition;
- to provide organizational, financial, and logistic support for the activities of the Board of Trustees of the Prize, the International Prize Award Committee, and the Expert Commission;
- to publicise the time-frame for applications for the contest, selection of candidates, the decision-making process, announcement of the winner and presentation of the award, as well as information about the time, place, and procedure of the award;
- to receive documents presented for the competition and to check them for conformance to pre-set requirements;
- to prepare selected materials and submit them to the Committee of Experts;
- to publish the Prize award decisions;
- to attend to the administrative requirements associated with the holding of the competition and presentation of the Prize;
- to establish the format and procedure of the Prize award ceremony;
- to supervise the formal function of the presentation of diplomas, medals and the Prize to the winners;
- to provide for the information support of the contest and the Prize awarding;
- to meet the costs of all the above-mentioned activities and other Prize competition programs and the operation of its authorised bodies; and
to address other organisational, financial, and technical matters associated with the administration of the Prize
