Web-project Global Challenge is a brand new high-tech project and became possible due to the fruitful cooperation of the following companies: Global Energy Fund, Golden Telecom, Global Education-2007 International Congress-Exhibition (Organized by Concord Group) and in association with Dynasty Fund. The project’s main aim is to assist the development of Russian scientific potential, to increase creative and social growth of young scientists.
Glorious scientists of our times: Russian academicians E.Velikhov, F.Mitenkov and V.Fortov, Royal University of Sweden professor Michael Tendler and professor Antonio Luque, director of Institute of solar energy of Madrid University, accept the Global Challenge of talented youth who will soon become the pride of world science. Young scientists of the 21st century vs. Great scientist of the 20th century!
Renowned contemporary scientists will give unordinary tasks that have different solutions. Real-time online video contact with the task authors in the final round will allow the participants to present and explain their solutions. To get a chance to discuss and try to defend their point of view with the elder colleagues – isn’t it what the would-be scientists dream of?
The Global Energy Fund is an authorized party of Global Energy Prize which is awarded to mark epoch-making discoveries and outstanding research in the field of energy and power engineering. Global Energy Youth Program is one of the Fund’s projects aimed at supporting young Russian scientists working in the sphere of power engineering. But we must admit that each scientist no matter young or renowned was once a common pupil or student and took part in different contests and scientific olympiads. That is why the new project of The Global Challenge 2007 web-tournament for higher-grade pupils and students became a natural step forward in the Fund’s activities. The coming of the era of new technologies changed the situation completely: olympiads are replaced with world-wide internet-projects with no boundaries and tasks for these projects are written by renowned scientists!
The Global Education 2007 International Congress-Exhibition is a brand new high-tech exhibition project which includes simultaneous holding of congress, exhibition and online congress-exhibition. PC-equipped and internet-ready booths, plasma displays, video-bridges, Internet-olympiads by famous scientists, master classes with best teachers – that is what we call the Global Approach to organizing an educational exhibition in the 21st century!
Golden telecom is the general telecommunication partner of Global Education which made the use of all the new telecommunication services possible.
